In 2001 an informal work group formed at UCEA to explore the evaluation needs and priorities of the leadership preparation field. Out of this work group formed a national taskforce co-sponsored by the UCEA Executive Committee and the Learning and Teaching in Educational Leadership-SIG (formerly the TEA-SIG) of the American Educational Research Association.
